Gannon Real Estate & Consulting sells, manages, and appraises land for Iowa landowners. Mark has over 40 years of experience exclusively in the field of farm real estate. Agriculture expertise includes IRA real estate purchases and 1031 exchange programs as well as land brokerage & appraisals.
We have sold over 60,000 acres in the last 22 years, have over 16,000 acres under management for 40-50 owners, and appraise 30-50 tracts per year, primarily for estates and consulting clients.

In Memory of Patrick Gannon
Born in Smithville, Missouri, to Mark and Margaret (Knoppe) Gannon, Patrick was the eldest of three brothers. He attended grade school at St. Cecilia Catholic School and graduated from Gilbert High School in 2003. At Gilbert, he was a National Merit Scholar and a four-year starter in soccer and baseball before attending Iowa State University and the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). After college he worked in NY at HarperCollins Publishers where he met, among others, Madonna, Tony Bennett and Justin Bateman. He also worked in Denver, Co at an advertising company before returning to Des Moines and working at Kemin Industries. Since 2021 he served as the Creative Director for the family business, Gannon Real Estate, where he specialized in drone photography, videography, appraisals and on-line farm auctions.
Patrick lived with his two cats, Betty and Lucille in Des Moines, Iowa. He was known for his care for others, fun loving attitude and love for his extended family and friends. Although he would never bait his own hook, Patrick was always the best fisherman in the family. Patrick loved Tottenham FC, Star Wars, Calvin and Hobbes, reading, everything outdoors, and all of his friends from Savannah, New York, Denver, Ames, and Gilbert.
